LSR action day in Berlin Studies over - and now?

Which job suits me? What does a typical Monday in sales or marketing look like? These and other questions do not only concern science students shortly before the end of their studies. Even during the Bachelor's phase, many take the opportunity to talk to experts from the industry.

This was also the case on May 12 as part of the LSR department's career event at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences. At 3.30 pm, around 40 students from Potsdam and Berlin gathered at the Osramhöfe in Berlin-Wedding. After three presentations and a 1.5-hour get-together, the students summarized: "I didn't know that there was so much more behind a sales position or that I could also work in marketing - even without a doctorate." We have been organizing these events for more than 10 years to answer precisely these questions.

We would like to thank Dr. Christoph Knab (Merck Chemicals GmbH), Lars Hoffmann (Seramun Diagnostics GmbH) as well as Dr. Silke Kloppholz and Dr. Tuncay Kayademir (both Bio-Rad Laboratories GmbH) for the exciting and personal insight into their career paths. The four gave insights into the professional fields of marketing, R&D and the sales positions of Account Manager and Instrument Specialist.
