New image brochure We live research

In its new image brochure, the Life Science Research (LSR) division of the German Diagnostics Industry Association (VDGH) shows how its companies contribute every day to making living environments safer and protecting people's health. But also what needs to be done so that the industry can continue to successfully make research into life possible.

The Chairman of the specialist department, Peter Quick, explains: "The companies are already building bridges, they are laying the foundations for medical progress. All achievements in diagnostics, drug development and vaccine research and production are based on LSR technologies."

In order to further promote this progress "Made in Germany", the VDGH believes that the location must remain internationally competitive. To this end, scientific knowledge must be generated, retained and successfully incorporated into the value chain. The association is in favour of protecting intellectual property, further developing tax incentives for research and making the location future-proof through digitalization strategies. This will also help to counteract the shortage of young talent.

The brochure also provides an insight into the industry's methods and services. Using 27 practical examples, it describes key technologies that are now the global standard or have the potential to become so thanks to LSR. In this way, the laboratory of tomorrow can also be experienced.
