Committee
Digital
The Digital Committee covers the diversity of issues relating to digital topics in four subject areas. As the central digital committee of the VDGH, the results and content from the working groups flow together here. In particular, current framework conditions and legislation are discussed and the latest technological developments are debated.
The committee deals with central issues of current healthcare policy in the digital sector as well as the implementation of existing and new framework conditions and regulations on the part of politics and self-administration. Developments at EU level also play an increasingly important role here. In the area of technological developments, the focus is on interoperability, data usage and artificial intelligence. In this way, the committee creates a transfer of knowledge between digital developments and the problems in politics and self-administration. In addition, the importance of the diagnostics industry for the digital sector is strengthened through a range of activities. The committee not only bundles the latest digital innovations that are discussed in the various VDGH committees, but also provides impetus for other areas of the VDGH, such as the Regulatory Affairs Committee or the Life Science Research department. This is also made possible by the fact that the committee regularly invites guests from scientific institutions, companies and politics. The lecture topics include research collaborations, cloud usage and digital health applications in the context of diagnostics.
Objectives of the committee
To ensure that the diagnostics industry is fit for the future in the digital sector, the Committee is committed to implementing the following objectives:
