Statement of the VDGH On the draft bill for a law on the further development of pharmacy supply (Pharmacy Supply Further Development Act - ApoVWG)

With the Pharmacy Supply Further Development Act (ApoVWG), the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) wants to secure the supply of medicines close to home and involve pharmacies more closely in preventive and diagnostic tasks.

The VDGH welcomes the planned regulations, which enable the wider use of modern in-vitro diagnostics and promote the early detection of relevant diseases. Patient-oriented testing in pharmacies can thus contribute to improving the quality of preventive healthcare. For successful implementation, the VDGH is calling for a clear legal framework and appropriate remuneration. The planned expansion of rapid tests in care facilities is also supported, but should be accompanied by regulated remuneration.

In a nutshell: The Association of the Diagnostics Industry (VDGH)
