Statement of the VDGH On the draft bill for a law to strengthen nursing skills (Nursing Skills Act - PKG)

In Germany, over 5.6 million people in need of care are largely looked after by relatives at home. The Association of the Diagnostics Industry (VDGH) welcomes the regulations for the specification and testing of digital care applications (DiPA) as well as the measures to increase the skills of care professionals provided for in the Care Competence Act (PKG).

However, the VDGH is calling for an expanded definition of digital health applications (DiGA) in order to exploit the full potential of DiPA, particularly in combination with in-vitro diagnostics, in order to sustainably improve care provision.

In a nutshell: The Association of the Diagnostics Industry (VDGH)
